Itinerary
Day1. Arrive in Barnaul. Reception at the airport. Travel by bus to the base camp Vysotnik near the village of Tiungur. 750 km, 12-13 hours.
Day 2. Start of trek on horseback. Tiungur (850 m) – the Kuzuyak pass (1 513 m) – the Ak-kem River (1 000 m) - the Oroktoy brook (1 100 m). Kuzuyak is not difficult but it’s a test of our and horses’ endurance. Overnight at the mouth of the Oroktoy brook. 19 km, 5-6 h.
Day 3. Oroktoy brook - the Tukhman River (2 000 m). Overnight at a picturesque place with great panorama of Mt. Belukha (4 506 m), the highest mountain of Siberia. 14 km, 6-7 h.
Day 4. Tukhman – pass Tomul – range Mujnoh – r. Soen-Chadyr – mouth of river Sarah – r. Koir. A long passage. Climb to the mountain plateau. Going through the range Muinokh we see the prayerful stone. Descent by steep slope to the river Koir - dismount the horses. 15 km, 5-6 h.
Day 5. R. Koir – pass Balturdak – r. Balturdak – head of river Balturdak - green valley. A short active day. Overnight stop at the river Balturdakh. 18 km, 2-3 h.
Day 6. Green valley – pass Suluajry – r. Suluajry – pass Tekeliu – r. Tekeliu. A difficult day. Long passage, picturesque views from the pass Sulu-Ajry. On the way a lake of wonderful beauty. 35 km, 8-9 h.
Day 7. R.Tekeliu – pass Jarlu-Boch – canyon Yarlu – M/S Ak-kem. A radial trek to the waterfall Tekeliu. The picturesque views of the ravine Yarlu and the valley of the Ak-kem. The descent is rather steep. 10 km, 4-5 h.
Day 8. Foot excursion day to the seven lakes of different colours each (5-7 hours hiking, altitude drop 400 m), or to the Yarlu valley. 10 km, 4-5 h.
Day 9. M/S Ak-kem - the Karatiurek pass (3 060 m) – Green valley. Climbing up the Karatiurek pass. The descend from the pass is steep and goes by talus. 23 km, 6-7 h.
Day 10. Start along the Kucherla river. Kucherla lake - Izekeru glade (1300 m). Descent to the Kucherla River. 21 km, 4-5 h, altitude drop 460 m.
Day 11. Izekeru glade – b/c Vysotnik. The ancient petroglyphs on a rock. Accommodation in tents at b/c Vysotnik, dinner in the café. 25 km, 5-6 h.
Day 12. Travel to the city of Barnaul. 750 km, 12-13 hours.

Notes and recommendations:
1. The route is not difficult and doesn’t require any special skills. But horse riding experience is obligatory for you to feel more comfortable when riding for several hours. Hiking and trekking experience is a great advantage. There will be horsemen-supervisors to help. On some steep ascents or descents it might be necessary to dismount the horse. We travel in a remote and unpopulated area, and there are no conveniences. The weather in mountains changes spontaneously. There may be precipitation. 2. MEALS. Participants are provided with 3 meals a day per program. At the base camps meals are getting at a cafe. On the trek food is cooked on the open fire, during ascent - on the gas stove(s).
3. PROVIDED EQUIPMENT: tents, cooking pots, ropes, ice screws, carbines, gas, gas stoves.
4. ITEMS TO BRING WITH YOU:
