This is not a mistake. We actualy invite you to unforgettable trip along Circum Baikal Rail Road by water. Also you will see fantastic Baikal Lake bird's-eye view and dive to the bottom of lake by virtual bathyscaphe.
Itinerary:
Day 1. Arrival in airport of Irkutsk. Transfer to the Irkutsk hotel ***. Rest. Lunch. Irkutsk city sightseeing tour: you can see the most interesting places of the city (squares, parks, churches, embankments, the oldest brick building of Irkutsk – The Church of Our Saviour (17th century), Kirov Square – place at city centre where Yakov Pokhabov's Cossak detachment established wooden fortress in 1661). Day 2. Breakfast. Transfer to the “Raketa” quay. Fullday tour along Circum Baikal Railroad (the most picturesque part of Transsiberian Rail Road where tourists have a chance to watch rail road engineering works of the beginning of the 20th century) by m/s “Barguzin-3”. Arrival in Listvianka. Visit local market where you have a chance to purchase souvenirs made by Siberian skilled workmen with stone, wood, birch, glass and to taste smoked Baikal Lake fish (omul, grayling, whitefish). Transfer to the Baikal hotel ***. Accommodation. Dinner. (BD)
Day 3. Breakfast. Baikal Ecology museum tour. At the museum aquariums you can see fishes of the Baikal Lake, famous nerpa (Baikal seal) and dive to the bottom of lake by virtual bathyscaphe. After museum you will visit local horse riding centre. Lunch at local restaurant. Walking tour for the Tchersky Stone panoramic platform (700 m high). Transfer to Irkutsk with stop at the “Taltsy” open-air ethnographic museum. Museum is located at the picturesque Taltsy Tract at the Angara River shore. Tourists can see more than 40 samples of East Siberian wooden architecture. Transfer to Irkutsk. Accommodation at the Irkutsk hotel ***. Dinner. (BLD)

Circum-Baikal railroad – the memorial of engineering art, the Golden Buckle of Siberia. The volume of earth-moving work done on every kilometer of the way was equal to 400 carriages that may be compared to the volume of work done during the Suez Channel construction. 424 engineer constructions were built along 84 kilometers-long stretch of the road from Khultuk to port Baikal including 39 tunnels with the total length of 8994 meters, 14 kilometers of supporting walls, 47 stone and 3 iron galleries.
