BDW4. Baikal Ice Fishing

Itinerary:

Day 1.

Arrival in airport of Irkutsk. Transfer to Listvyanka settlement located at the Baikal Lake shore (70 km). Listvianka settlement walking tour: St. Nicholas Church (beginning of the 19th century), Baikal Ecology museum tour. In the museum aquariums you can see fishes of the Baikal Lake, famous nerpa (Baikal seal). After museum you can visit local market where you have a chance to purchase souvenirs made by Siberian skilled workmen with stone, wood, birch, glass and to taste smoked Baikal Lake fish (omul, grayling, whitefish). Accommodation at the Baikal hotel ***. Dinner. (D)

 

Day 2.

Breakfast. Transfer to the quay. Transfer by “Khivus” hovercraft motor boat to the place of fishing not far from the Listvianka quay. Fullday fishing for omul, grayling, pike, perch (ice-holes are already prepared, clients receive all equipment necessary for ice fishing, big warm tent is already pitched: clients can cook lunch of their catch there). Dinner at the hotel. (BD)

Day 3.

Breakfast. Transfer to the quay. Transfers by “Khivus” hovercraft motor boat to the Olkhon Island. Accommodation at cottages at the Zhemchuzhina Olkhona (Olkhon Pearl) tourist base (out-doors toilet without heating!). Olkhon Island sightseeing tour including Museum of Local Lore. Dinner. Banya (Russian traditional bath-house). (BD)

     

Day 4.

Breakfast. Transfers by “Khivus” hovercraft motor boat to the Mukhor Bay. Fullday fishing for omul, grayling, pike, perch (ice-holes are already prepared, clients receive all equipment necessary for ice fishing, big warm tent is already pitched: clients can cook lunch of their catch there). Dinner at the tourist base. (BD)

Day 5.

Breakfast. Transfers by “Khivus” hovercraft motor boat to the Zagli Bay. Fullday fishing for omul, grayling, pike, perch (ice-holes are already prepared, clients receive all equipment necessary for ice fishing, big warm tent is already pitched: clients can cook lunch of their catch there). Dinner at the tourist base. (BD)

Day 6.

Breakfast. Transfer by coach to Irkutsk (about 6 hours). Lunch for payment on spot at one of the local cafes is possible. Accommodation at the Irkutsk hotel ***. Dinner. (BD)

Day 7. Breakfast. Check-out by 12:00. Transfer to the airport or railway station.(B)
