GDS4. Golden Ring
The Golden Ring is a symbolic ring of ancient Russian towns situated to the North-East from Moscow . It keeps unique monuments of ancient Russian architecture of the 12-17th centuries: Moscow itself, Sergiev Posad and Alexandrov, Kostroma and Pereslavl-Zalessky, Uglich and Ivanovo, Yaroslavl and Rostov the Great, Suzdal and Vladimir, each of these towns is a real pearl of Russia . Nowadays they are often called 'museums in the open air'. Cathedrals and churches, convents and fine art museums strike by their beauty. A tour of the Golden Ring will give you a wonderful possibility to make acquaintance of the history of ancient Russians towns, their culture and their traditions.

Itinerary:
Day 1. Meeting with our guide at your hotel in Moscow in the morning. Transfer to Vladimir. Vladimir city tour: Dormition cathedral (entrance), St.Demetrius cathedral (entrance), Golden Gates. Bogolyubobo tour: Bogolyubovsky monastery, Intercession church on the Nerl river. Transfer to Suzdal. Accommodation at the Goryachiye Klyuchi hotel 4*. Overnight.
Day 2. Continental breakfast. Suzdal city tour: Kremlin (grounds), Cross-vaulted chambre (entrance), the monastery of Our Saviour and St.Euthimius (chance to enjoy live bell music), Transfiguration cathedral (entrance), museum of wooden architecture (entrance), the convent of Intercession. Transfer to Kostroma. Accommodation at the Azimut hotel 3* (business class). Kostroma city tour: Ressurrection church on the Debra river, Theophany monastery. St.Hipatius monastery with Trinity cathedral. Overnight. (B)
Day 3. Buffet breakfast. Transfer to Yaroslavl. Accommodation at the Yubileinaya hotel 3* (renovated rooms). Yaroslavl city tour: Transfiguration monastery, the Prophet Elijah church. Free time (optional the Volga river motorboat tour is recommended in summer). Overnight. (B)
Day 4. Buffet breakfast. Transfer to Rostov. Rostov Kremlin tour. Photostop at Pereslavl-Zalessky.Transfer to Moscow.
