Itinerary:
Day 1. Arrival in Moscow. Transfer to the Tourist hotel 3*. Accommodation. Optional excursions.
Day 2. Breakfast. 3-hour Moscow city tour: Red Square (Cathedral of St.Basil, Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, History Museum, Kremlin towers, Upper Trading Arcades (GUM), Lenin's tomb and necropolis), St.Sofia's Embankment (photo stop with panoramic view of the Kremlin), The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, New Maiden Convent, The Moscow State University campus a panorama platform on the Vorobiovy (Sparrow) Hills, Moscow boulevards, The Theatre Square with the Bolshoy Theatre and the Metropol hotel. Free time. Optional Kremlin tour is recommended. (B)
Day 3. Breakfast. Beginning a trip along the Golden Ring. Transfer (65 km) to Sergiev Posad. Excursion to the Holy Trinity-St.Sergius Lavra - one of the main centers of Russian Ortodox Church. Transfer (180 km) to Vladimir. Visiting Dormition (entrance) and St.Demetrius (entrance) cathedrals, Golden Gates. Transfer (10 km) to Bogolyubovo. Visiting the Church of Intercession on the Nerl River. Transfer (30 km) to Suzdal. Accommodation in hotel Goryachiye Klyuchi 4*. (B)
Day 4. Breakfast.City tour of Suzdal. Visiting Kremlin (grounds), Cross-Vaulted Chamber (entrance), Saviour and St.Euthimius monastery (chance to enjoy live bell music), Transfiguration cathedral (entrance), Museum of Wooden Architecture (entrance). Transfer (180 km) to Kostroma. Accommodation in hotel Azimut 3*. (B)
Day 5. Breakfast. City tour of Kostroma. Visiting St.Hypatius monastery, Trinity cathedral. Transfer (65 km) to Yaroslavl. City tour of Yaroslavl. Visiting Transfiguration monastery and Transfiguration cathedral, The Prophet Elijah church. Departure from Yaroslavl (22:30, train #045). Overnight in train. (B)
Day 6. Arrival in St.Petersburg (10:52 Moskovsky train station). 4-hour St.Petersburg city tour: Nevsky Prospect, Neva's embankments, Rostral Columns, buildings of Hermitage museum, the Fortress of St.Peter and St.Paul (entrance), Senat Square, St.Isaac Cathedral, Nicolay I statue, Peter I statue ("Bronze Horseman"), Summer Garden, the Field of Mars, Ressuraction Cathedral of the Spilt Blood, Square of Arts, Palace Square with Alexander Column. Transfer to the Asteria 3* hotel. Accommodation. Optional tour to Hermitage museum is recommended.
Day 7. Breakfast. Free time. Optional tours (Pavlovsk is recommended in winter, Peterhoff in summer). (B)
