Moscow City Tour

During this 3-hour excursion you will see all the major highlights of Moscow. We begin our excursion with visit of the Red Square, a unique architectural ensemble which is included into the world heritage list of UNESCO. Here are situated the most known abroad sights of Moscow such as the Kremlin with its ancient red walls and towers, the Cathedrals of St. Basil and Our Lady of Kazan, the biggest History museum of Russia, trading arcades of GUM, Lenin's tomb and necropolis. Not far from Kremlin is situated Russia's spiritual revival, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (the Cathedral of the Redeemer) at which you will make a break as well. Kremlin Tour, 3-4 hours



During 1 hour excursion you will learn about the history of Moscow in the most ancient part of the city, the Kremlin. You will pass the Cathedral Square, a breathtaking ensemble of the 15th - 17th centuries. You will visit the ancient cathedrals where the life of Russian grand princes and tsar started and ended: the Annunciation Cathedral where they were baptised, the Assumption Cathedral where they were crowned, Archangel Michael Cathedral where they were buried. In the Kremlin you will see the stunning examples of casting of the 16th-18th centuries — Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon. You also will have a chance to admire the Grand Kremlin Palace, the former imperial residence, which serves in present days as the Russian President's gala reception quarters. Tour to the Kolomenskoye Museum Estate

Kolomenskoye is Moscow's oldest summer residence of Russian Grand Princes and Tsars. a magnificent example of the beautiful architecture and stunning nature, located on the bank of Moskva River. Tretyakov Art Gallery Tour, 3 hours



The State Tretyakov Gallery is the national treasury of Russian fine art and one of the greatest museums in the world. The Gallery's collection consists of Russian art and artists who have made а contribution to the history of Russian art or been closely connected with it. The collection contains more than 150 000 works of painting, sculpture and graphics, created throughout the centuries by successive generations of Russian artists. Pushkin Fine Arts Museum Tour, 3-4 hours



The museum is considered to be Russia's second largest collection of Western European art. The main building exposition comprises early Byzantine icons, coptic portraits, Italian Renaissance, Dutch still-lifes, Rembrants, Rubence, Poussin. In the museum you will also find a perfectly displayed collection of ancient Egypt mummies, stellas, statues, manuscripts, sarcophagues. The nearly located Gallery of American and European Arts of the 19-20th centuries comprises Barbyson school, French impressionists and other trends of the 19-20th centuries art. Old Arbat and Moscow Underground Tour, 3 hours

During the excursion you will take a walk in the most picturesque pedestrian street in Moscow, running west from Arbat Square towards Smolenskaya Square. The first mention of the Arbat was in 1493 as a road leading from the Moscow Kremlin to Smolensk. In the 18th century, the Arbat became the most prestigious living area in Moscow. Here the famous Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin, lived for a short time with his wife Natalie Goncharov. You will see here the monument of them as well as other notable statues (to Princess Turandot in front of the Vakhtangov Theatre and to Soviet-era folk singer, bard, and poet, Bulat Okudzhava). Nowdays Old Arbat is the most touristy street, with lots of cafes, restaurants souvenir shops. Your walk will be accompanied by all means with street music as Arbat is regarded as musicians and artists street.

After a walk in Old Arbat Street we'll take a ride by the Moscow Metro. Moscow Metro is one of the most efficient and extensive metro systems in the world. It has 301.2 km of route length, 12 lines, and 182 stations. The system carries over seven million passengers a day on average, more than the Paris and New York systems combined. The stations of the Moscow Metro are compared with undeground palaces because of the extravagant soviet-era decoration. Sergiev Posad is a lovely provincial town situated 74 km from Moscow. The life of the inhabitants of the town is centred around the Monastery of the Holy Trinity (Troitse Sergieva Lavra), a unique monastic ensemble of Russian Orthodoxy from the 15th to the 19th centuries. It's the most important functioning monastery in Russia and the spiritual center of Russian Orthodox Christianity. UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site. The Monastery was founded in 1345 by St. Sergius of Radonezh and containing his relics. Tour to «Yasnaya Polyana» Leo Tolstoy Museum-Estate (206 km to the South from Moscow), 10-12 hours

  

The National Leo Tolstoy Museum-Estate in Yasnaya Polyana located close to Tula city is famous worldwide. Yasnaya Polyana is the place where Leo Tolstoy was born in 1828, lived for about 60 years, wrote many of his books including his famous novel «War and Peace» and philosophical essays. He was not destined to die in his home. At the stormy night on the fall of 1910 he left the house. Museum of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), 4 hours


Museum of the Great Patriotic War was opened on May,9 1995 for the 50th anniversary of victory. This museum is located at the Victory Park in the Western part of Moscow city centre. You can see there an unique collection of documents, photos, samples of Soviet and German weapon and uniform, dioramas dedicated to the main battles at the Eastern front, open-air exposition of Soviet, German, British, American and Japanese military engineering. Tour to Lenin's Gorki Estate Museum, 6 hours


This estate located not far from the Domodedovo airport was built in classical style in the end of the 18th century (with neo-classical style renovation in the beginning of the 20th century). Since 1918 head of Soviet government Vladimir Lenin spended practicaly all his days of rest there. From summer 1923 he lived in Gorki constantly and there he died in January 1924. Now you can see in «Lenin's Gorki» museum complex not only historical estate but also «Lenin's stady and flat in the Kremlin» exposition moved to Gorki from Kremlin after overthrow of the Communist regime in 1991 and very interesting exposition dedicated to the Russian political history in the beginning of the 20th century. Secret unit connected with city centre by 17-km underground road was built in the 1930s in Izmailovo district in the Easten part of Moscow city. Now in historical museum complex “Reserve command center of the Supreme commander-in-chief of Red Army Iosif Stalin during The Second World War period 1941-1945” opened in 1996 visitors can see The Session Hall of the Supreme command chief of the Red Army, Stalin's study and rest room, dining room, Generals room (High command room), rooms of the militant service and securing.

Cold War Museum Tour (Bunker-42 in Taganka district), 3 hours

This theatrical excursion will take you back to the revolutionary times in the beginning of the 20th century. During the excursion you will visit museum «Bolsheviks' Secret Printing Press (1905-1906)», exhibition devoted to the period of the end of 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, historical and memorial museum «Presnya» (exposition devoted to armed insurrection in Moscow in December 1905) and other landmarks which played a dramatical role in the history of Russia.
